Crackers Art & Design is owned, operated, loved and nurtured by me, Sarah Epstein, a graphic designer with over 15 years experience in the design industry. After graduating University in 1994 with a degree in design, I've worked with everyone from large corporations to teeny tiny micro businesses over the years
in my career as a graphic designer.

Crackers Art & Design has been around since 1998, and was originally created
as a sideline hobby to my full-time career. It gave me a creative outlet to
design, illustrate, experiment and basically get my hands dirty. Originally I
sold handpainted picture frames and jewellery boxes from a small market stall
in Sydney, before relocating to Melbourne in 1999. I then expanded Crackers
by creating a range of handcrafted wedding stationery and then a wholesale
range of greeting cards and notebooks.

After the birth of my first child in 2005, I turned my hand to creating original handpainted artworks for his bedroom and before I knew it, I was painting
them for family and friends and selling them on eBay. I met quite a few other work-at-home-mums who were starting up their own home-based businesses,
and offered some of them my services as a graphic designer. And from there
the graphic design arm of Crackers was reborn.

When I'm not designing for other businesses, I still enjoy creating cute & crazy characters and artworks for my Etsy shop, as well as fiddling around with vintage materials to create upcycled artworks and gifts.
